JOB SUMMARY : Administers anesthesia to patients of all ages in the operating room, delivery room, and provides other related services as needed in other patient care areas accord! ing to Medical Center policies and procedures. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: 1. Has graduated from an accredited school of nursing. 2. Has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
Licensure/Credentials: 1. Holds a current license in the state of Minnesota . 2. Is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists; or has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and is awaiting initial certification. Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation. 3. Re-certified on biannual basis by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
4. Holds current BCLS/ACLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Mental Requirements 1. Knowledge of current principles and methods of general, regional and lo! cal anesthetics. 2. Ability to function in stressful and emerg! ent situations.
