This is an independent position of the administration of anesthesia,
sedation, pain control, and intubation of patients undergoing a variety of
surgical procedures, labor and delivery, and emergency airway situations.
Pediatrics to geriatrics population. Includes general anesthesia, spinal
and epidural infusions, lumblumbar painblocks, and PICC line placements,
respond to all hospital code situations.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting,
medication systems, etc.)
Anesthesia machine, intubation equipment, including glydescope, EPIC
computer charting.
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Grauduate of a state board of nursing approved school of nursing, and an
accredited school of anesthesia for nurses. MN RN licensure indicating CRNA
status.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
BLS, ACLS, required, and TNCC preferred
Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call
required? If so, ho! w often? Are weekends required?)
Day shift 7am-4pm Mo! nday through Friday, on-call rotation for nights and
weekends.
Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
Operating Room, Labor & Delivery, Emergency Department,
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
48 bed hospital; 4 OR suites, 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 6 Emergency
Department rooms.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

program.
Independent CRNA practice in a rural health care setting. Affiliation with
Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD for orientation and quality
oversight.
