Hours: Flexible schedule, 40+ hours/week (8:00 a.m. â€" 5:30 p.m.), Monday-Friday.
Job Summary: Provide healthcare to children, birth through 21 years of age, at 40-bed specialty pediatric orthopedic hospital located in Minneapolis. Join team of 2 orthopedic surgeons, 3 pediatrician, 1 anesthesiologist and numerous allied health professionals and consultants.
Position responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient care. The Outpatient Clinic will be the primary area of responsibility. Surgical responsibilities include first assisting, closing and splinting. Clinical responsibilities include history & physical examinations, providing patient care and treatment, assist physician with interpretation of test results, enter orders in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and assist with patient and family education. This person works closely with the Assistant Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff and medical staff. Must be able to learn casting techniques.
Qualifications: Graduate of AMA (CAHEA) approved Physician Assistant program and Experience in pediatrics. Experience in orthopedics a plus. PALS Certified. DEA License.
