Violence Prevention Coordinator


 

UCI CARE provides free and confidential support services to members of the UCI community who have been impacted by sexual assault, relationship abuse, family violence and/or stalking. Programs and services are available to people of all identities and regardless of status. UCI CARE aims to end these forms of power-based personal violence by engaging the campus community in education, programming, and transformative action.

• The Violence Prevention Coordinator will develop and implement a responsive strategy for an ongoing, comprehensive, and systemic approach for preventing power-based personal violence (including, but not limited to, sexual assault, relationship violence, family violence, and stalking). • Manage, develop, and execute all strategic educational programs and outreach for undergraduate and/or graduate students. Duties include the creation of presentations, trainings, curricula, assessment tools, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. • Collaborate with Assistant Director for coordination and oversight of undergraduate peer education programs including Right to KNOW, CHAMPS, and VIP. , peer educators, and student organizations. • Provide additional support for other CARE programming efforts on an as need basis.

$66,700.00 - $118,500.00 (Annual Salary)


Required:

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Thorough knowledge of the topic of power-based personal violence, including sexual assault, relationship abuse, family violence, and/or stalking. Thorough knowledge of the design and delivery of related education programs. Skills associated with both the development and delivery of education programs and services. Effective interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client groups. Effective organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to analyze, interpret and respond to client needs.


Special Conditions Required:

Occasional evenings/weekends.
