Overview:
Purpose Statement/Position Summary
Clinical Social Worker II provides social work evaluation and treatment services to patients and families with complex psychosocial needs independently or with supervision as needed. Takes a leadership role in coordinating services with the interdisciplinary team and community agencies to ensure appropriate patient care. May provide functional direction to unlicensed social work staff (Clinical Social Workers I, Social Worker Associates) and social work interns. In this role you will be working with a chronic population in our ED House Department.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the required Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or equivalent accreditation. Minimum 2 years overall experience as a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a medical setting (or related interdisciplinary environment) working with children, youth, and families; hospital experience preferred. Experience to include 2 years as a Clinical Social Worker I. Bilingual skills may be required depending on assignment and patient population.

Education/Licensure/Certifications
Master’s degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or equivalent accreditation. Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (LCSW). Application process for CCS paneling will be completed within the first 90 days of hire. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification

Pay Scale Information: USD $68,432.00 - USD $123,052.80

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
