Salary Range: $3,338 - $4,913/Monthly


Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. & Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.


Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Admissions and Outreach, the Administrative Assistant is a key member of the EOP team and is responsible for the daily operations of the EOP reception center, greeting visitors, helping them navigate, and connecting them to staff and on-campus offices/resources as appropriate. Provide exceptional front-face customer service to EOP students, staff, and the campus community. The incumbent will provide office clerical support to the EOP.


Required Qualifications & Experience: Incumbent must possess: the equivalent to two years of general office experience; experience with databases and the use of spreadsheets; knowledge of office practices and procedures; and working knowledge of Word and Outlook. Incumbent must have the ability to: think and work independently using good judgment; enter data into the PeopleSoft database and document management system with minimal errors; and work cooperatively and productively within a team environment. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Ability to read and write in Spanish.
