MEDNAX is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologist to join our team working at the Heart Institute, based at Abbott N orthwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
- The successful candidate will have passed the Advanced PTE exam and have NBE certification in perioperative TEE
- Approximately 70% of their time will be spent doing cardiac cases
- The hospital is nationally ranked in five adult specialties and high performing in four adult specialties according to U.S. News and World Report
- It is also ranked the #1 hospital in the Minneapolis metropolitan area and #2 in the state
- Our practice has the second largest cardiac program in the state.
- Our team includes 40 anesthesiologists and 65 CRNAs who provide services to the hospital and its outpatient care facilities, as well as other surgery centers in the area
- Cases include obstetrics, general surgery, complex cardiac surgery, major spine and neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery and acute pain management
- Our program has a relationship with the University of MN Medical School and C V fellows rotate through the CVOR
- The Anesthesiologists and CRNAs work together in a care team environment
