Assessments - Collects, prioritizes, and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
Diagnosis - Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses
Outcomes Identifications - Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient

Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
New graduate hires must have graduated from an accredited nursing program which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility
Qualification/Skills
MSDSC OR Position
Tier 1
Has worked in a Same Day Surgery Center OR with at least 5+ years of experience required. Must have demonstrated the ability to communicate and coordinate complex patient care issues to the team. Must be able to partner with the surgery center team which includes CST’s, RN’s, CRNA’s, Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, and etc. Willingness to train to admitting, PACU, and Phase 2 areas. Must have current BLS certification and willingness to get ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
Tier 2
Has worked in a Same Day Surgery Center OR with at least 2-5 years of experience required. Must have demonstrated the ability to communicate and coordinate complex patient care issues to the team. Must be able to partner with the surgery center team which includes CST’s, RN’s, CRNA’s, Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, and etc. Willingness to train to admitting, PACU, and Phase 2 areas. Must have current BLS certification and willingness to get ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
Tier 3
Has worked in an OR with at least 2 years of experience required. Must have demonstrated the ability to communicate and coordinate complex patient care issues to the team. Must be able to partner with the surgery center team which includes CST’s, RN’s, CRNA’s, Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, and etc. Willingness to train to admitting, PACU, and Phase 2 areas. Must have current BLS certification and willingness to get ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
Current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota (Current WI nursing license for River Falls Hospital)
In house Tier 2 code blue training and PALS within one year of hire.
Current BLS or in house Tier 1 training.
Work Schedule
Start times are 0600, 0700, 0800, 0900, and 11 am.

Possible weekends per department needs.
