Provides and executes operations to support patient- and family-centered care through The Compass: St. Cloud Hospitals Nursing Professional Practice Model to achieve the hospital mission of improving the health and quality of life that reflects the healing mission of Jesus. Works in collaboration with the Department of Anesthesia, Day charge RNs, Nurse Educators and Surgery Clinical Resource nurse to achieve clinical quality, safety and service throughout all of Perioperative Services Care Center. Overall role and responsibilities include; but not limited to, assisting the anesthesiologist prima! rily with regional anesthesia procedures, establishes and coor! dinate a consistent standard of care for the management of the patient pre, intra and post procedure, providing patient and staff education, actively participates in the success of the Anesthesia Block program, resource for pain management and lead quality initiatives related to anesthesia pain modalities. The Anesthesia Block Nurse will abide by the Minnesota State Practice Act as it relates to their participation and role during the placement of regional and epidural anesthesia. Age appropriate care is provided to patients and families. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards for a superior patient experience. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years experience in the Pre-operative Phase of care and/or Post Anesthesia Care or ICU nursing. Previous Critical Care and/or Pain Managemen! t experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Current PALS/ACLS Healthcare Provider card required prior to completion of unit orientation. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required.
National Certification in Pain Management, CPAN or CAPA required within the first 14 months of hire.
