Job Description:
Position Description
Fusion Connect is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the HR team by efficiently managing the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and regulations and a passion for fostering a positive work environment.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
In addition to being the primary point of contact for internal employees, the HR Coordinator will work closely with the SVP of HR and HR team to support various HR related projects and data requests including but not limited to.
Onboarding:
  • Coordinate pre-employment processes; initiating and tracking background checks; processing I9s, tracking new hire process; assigning new hire compliance training
  • Schedule orientation with new hires and manage ongoing updates to the presentation; while continuously improving the employee experience
HR Operations and Administration:
  • Acts as a point of contact for employees, liaises with HR and payroll teams to answer inquiries and resolve issues related to payroll, HRIS systems, processes and policies.
  • Approve and facilitate HR transactions as required by automated workflows and processes HR transactions for employees and managers when the primary self-service channel cannot be used.
  • Accurately processes employee changes in Workday including promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, bonus payments and separations. Produces supporting documentation such as promotion letters.
  • Complete employment verifications and respond to DOL report requests.
  • Provide HR reports, including analysis of data as appropriate and update employee information within HRIS (Workday).
  • Responsible for planned and ad hoc reporting and analytics requests such as turnover, EEO, department specific headcount.
  • Routinely audit HRIS system (Workday) and reports to ensure data integrity.
  • Manage tracking of Recognition, Employee Referrals and Education Reimbursement programs.
  • Coordinate employee separations with IT and Payroll; ensuring a seamless offboarding process for all employees.
  • Responds to unemployment claims in a timely manner.
  • Enter IT Helpdesk tickets for hiring and terminating employees to ensure appropriate technology access.
Training and Communication Support
  • Manage Fusion Connect’s Learning Management System (LMS) and assign compliance and new hire training to employees.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with training requirements.
Education and Experience.
  • BA/BS in human resources, business, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years previous experience in an HR coordinator or similar role is preferred.
  • HRIS System knowledge, preferably Workday
Qualifications and Skills Required:
HR Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and federal and multi-state employment laws. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Customer- Orientation: Demonstrates a customer focused, solutions oriented and employee-centric mindset.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management. Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable multitasking and pivoting between tasks frequently.
Integrity and Decision-Making. Must display the highest commitment to ethical decision-making and integrity. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical and Analytical Skills: Demonstrates proficiency with the following technology: HRIS (Workday preferred), MS Teams, Sharepoint, Microsoft Office Suite, IT Ticketing systems. Able to independently navigate competing priorities and stakeholders.
Problem Solving: Proven to be a resourceful problem-solver with a process improvement mindset.
