MEDNAX is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologist to join our team working at the Heart Institute, based at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The successful candidate will have passed the Advanced PTE exam and have NBE certification in perioperative TEE. Approximately 70% of their time will be spent doing cardiac cases. The hospital is nationally ranked in five adult specialties and high performing in four adult specialties according to U.S. News and World Report. It is also ranked the #1 hospital in the Minneapolis metropolitan area and #2 in the state. Our practice has the second largest cardiac program in the state.Our team includes 40 anesthesiologists and 65 CRNAs, who provide services to the hospital and its outpatient care facilities, as well as other surgery centers in the area. Cases include obstetrics, general surgery, complex cardiac surgery, major spine and neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery and acute pain management. Our program has a relationship with the University of MN Medical School and CV fellows rotate through the CVOR.
