Work under the direction of the in-house Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia care to all patient populations in surgical services
Works as a collaborative member of the surgical team t! o provide safe patient care using current standards and techniques to conduct intra-operative anesthesia management and care of the patient
Displays confident decision making in regards to: anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence
Conducts pre-anesthetic and post-anesthetic evaluation of the patient
Education
Successful completion of an accredited program of advanced preparation of Nurse Anesthetists
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
Current certification according to the requirements of the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Qualifications
Experience:
Two years previous experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
ACLS
BLS
Current MN Registered Nursing license required
Current certification for Nurse Anesthetist
ACLS
PALS
Skills:
Previous knowledge of pediatric anesthesia care a plus
RN hi! res with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate ! of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
