JOB SUMMARY: Administers anesthesia to patients of all ages in the operating room, delivery room, and provides other related services as needed in other patient care areas according to Medical Center policies and procedures. Position re! quires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
Our hours are 0730-1600, with one 0800-1630 shift per week. All types of GI procedures, most are sedation with Propofol, and General Anesthesia for some also.We are connected to the main hospital, some we have a mix of outpatients and inpatients. No call.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: 1. Has graduated from an accredited school of nursing. 2. Has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
Licensure/Credentials: 1. Holds a current license in the state of Minnesota. 2. Is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists; or has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and is awaiting initial certification. Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation. 3. Re-certified on biannual basis by American ! Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Knowledge, Skills,! Abilities and Mental Requirements 1. Knowledge of current principles and methods of general, regional and local anesthetics. 2. Ability to function in stressful and emergent situations.
