The RN Control Desk Specialist is responsible for overseeing and controlling the daily surgical schedule to provide quality service for the perioperative patient. Maintains active communication among medical staff, interdepartmental staff, and surgical staff to ensure schedule progression and issues resolution. In collaboration with MDA Section Chief, CRNA Director, Support Services Manager, and Director of Surgical Services, the Specialist will work to provide access to the department, resolve conflict and manage resources effectively and efficiently. The Specialist will work with the specialty team managers, and the educator, to ensure adequate and well trained staffing is available to provide care to the pa! tients.
Position requires high level of customer serv! ice skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
A BN in Nursing or Management related field or in the process of completing the degree.
Over four years of experience in the Operating Room.
Licensure/Credentials:
Licensure in Minnesota.
