Anesthesia Technicians assist in the OR with the cleaning and stocking of supplies between surgical cases and at day's end. They also assist the anesthesiologists with setting ! up the equipment and positioning the patient for the insertion of central lines and blocks. There is potential for a lot of on-the-job exposure to the medical/nursing practice, for example: familiarization with drugs, equipment, supplies, sterile technique and etc. This position requires approximately 80% of work time spent standing. Candidates must have high school diploma or equivalent, be interested in working in a fast-paced surgery dept. 1-2 years of post-secondary education preferred. Previous related experience a plus!
