Job Description
The Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the delivery of direct patient care including patient education within the outpatient setting. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The ANA Ambulatory Care Nursing Administration and Practice Standards provide a basis for the practice of the RN in the ambulatory setting. The RN would be responsible for the perioperative care in the operating room as a circulating RN, coordination and delivery of perianesthesia care in the pre-post area, and providing moderate sedation at the direction of the Anesthesiologist or proceduralist in the Gonda 15 Outpatient Procedure Center. The RN plans, implements, ! and evaluates patient care, teaches patients and families, and! orients colleagues and peers.

Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited associate’s degree or diploma program. If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is also required. ***Please note: RNs hired on or after September 1, 2010, will be required to complete a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a NLN or CCNE accredited program within six years of their hire date.
Other Qualifications:
Internal applicants are required to submit their three most recent performance appraisals.
Previous Operating Room, ICU, or ED experience preferred.
License or Certification:
Current RN license by applicable state requirements. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency. Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Hours/Pay Period: 64 hours per 2 week pay period
Schedule Details: Monday-Friday; Variable 8-hour Day/Evening shifts; Overtime as needed
Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $27.91 per hour.
