Responsibilities : Provide patient care through assessment, evaluation and treatment / referral. Partner with anesthesiologist to assist with interventional procedures / sedation, office visits, phone triage; coverage rotation for inpatient pain consult service with expansion to weekend rotation. Includes on-call rotation in clinic.
Qualifications : Education/Experience:
PA: Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. NP: Masters in Nursing. Minimum 2 years practicing as a PA / NP. Experience with chronic pain management preferred. Licensure / Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Medical Terminology required. License Required: PA: current PA MN registration, PA certification by NCCPA. NP: current MN RN license, certification as adult NP. Both roles MN prescriptive authority and DEA.
Skills:
Advanced physical and psychosocial health assessment skills; sound knowledge of chronic pain and related diagnostic and clinical therapies; ability to teach patients; excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule : Full time (40 hours per week). Day shift; Monday - Friday. Approximately every 6th weekend. Non-contract.
