Buffalo Hospital has more than 400 employees, 180 physicians, and 34 staffed beds. It is a state-of-the-art facility with expanded or new facilities for emergency, urgent care, diagnostic imaging, surgery and outpatient center, cardiac center, sleep center and rehabilitation. The care team is noted for its passion in providing personalized, patient-centered care for nearly 66,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. Responsibilities Work under the direction of the in-house Anesthesiologist, to provide anesthesia care to all patient populations in surgical services.
Works as a collaboratory member of the surgical team to provide safe patient care using current standards and techniques to conduct intra-operative anesthesia management and care of the patient. Displays confident decision making in regards to: anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence. Conducts pre-anesthetic and post-anesthetic evaluation of the patient. Qualifications Successful completion of an accredited program of advanced preparation of Nurse Anesthetists Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota Current Certification according to the requirements of the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists 2 years previous experience preferred Experience in the administration of regional anesthetics preferred ACLS required BLS required Current PALS required Previous knowledge of pediatric anesthesia care a plus RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
